HCAP
Todos los hospitales deben proveer servi-
cios gratuitos a pacientes con ingresos
menores al nivel federal de pobreza. El
Hospital Care Assurance Program (HCAP)
cubre costos para todos los servicios nece-
sarios del hospital, tanto para pacientes
hospitalizados como de consulta externa.
HCAP no paga por cuentas del doctor o
rayos- x. Pararecibir HCAP, el paciente
tiene que vivir en Ohio.
No importa el estado migratorio de la per-
sona.
Para obtener HCAP solo debe llenar la
solicitud y dejarla en el departamento de

AEMA
Alien Emergency Medical Assistance
(AEMA) cubre los servicios de emergencia
para personas que no son ciudadanos
americanos, incluyendo: nacimiento,
enfermedades complicadas (como un
atáque del corazón), o lesions graves como
un brazo roto. AEMA, cubre todos las
cuentas médicas, incluyendo doctores y
exámenes. Para obtener AEMA, el paciente
tiene que vivir en OHIO, y tener un ingreso
de acuerdo a lo establecido para Medicaid.
No tiene que explicar su estado con
Inmigracion. No tiene que dar su número
de seguro social.

HCAP
All hospitals must provide free hospital
services to patients with incomes at or
below the federal poverty level. The
Hospital Care Assurance Program (HCAP)
covers bills for all necessary hospital servic-
es, both inpatient and outpatient. HCAP
does not cover the doctor's bills or x-rays.
To receive HCAP, you must live in Ohio.
Your immigration status doesn't matter.
To get HCAP, you must fill out a simple
application and give it to the hospita's
financial assistance department.

PROGRAMS
Even if your income is too high for HCAP,
hospitals have financial assistance pro-
grams. Please talk to a financial aid coun-
selor about reducing or discounting your
bill or setting up payment arrangements.
AEMA
Alien Emergency Medical Assistance
(AEMA) pays for serious emergency med-
ical care for non-citizens, including: child-
birth, sudden serious illness (such as heart
attack), or serious injury like a broken arm.
AEMA covers all medical bills, including
doctors and tests. To get AEMA, you must
live in Ohio, and meet the financial require-
ments of Medicaid.
You do not have to show satisfactory immi-
gration status
You do not have to show a social security
number.
